Years of concentration and buy-ups have just about wrecked whatever we might have had in the way of a free press. Since 1996, Montreal's Electronic Rights Defence Committee has been suing the Montreal Gazette, Southam, Hollinger and now CanWest in an attempt to get compensation and recognition for freelancers' electronic rights. We have a Facebook group: "Friends of the ERDC" which anyone is welcome to join. Keep up the good fight!
