The Seriously Free Speech Committee (SFSC) was formed by individuals deeply concerned about a giant media corporation using the courts in an attempt to silence opposing views. Members work to raise awareness of the dangers of media concentration, advocate for a full and open discussion of the contentious issues of the Middle East, and raise funds to cover the legal costs of the case.
The members of the committee do not necessarily agree on the issues raised in the parody on the situation in the Middle East. Rather the committee unites around a commitment to open and public discussion of these issues. When a broad spectrum of perspectives and information are made available for consideration — free of harassment, intimidation or censorship — Canadians at large can reflect on these and draw their own conclusions.
The SFSC recognizes that monopolization of media ownership in our society is antithetical to the expression and sharing of diverse opinions which is essential for democratic cultures to flourish. What we do agree on is that there is far too much media concentration in Canada and that the suit against Mordecai Briemberg, Carel Moiseiwitsch and Gordon Murray, is intended to intimidate and silence anyone who seeks to speak out against the views of Canwest.

The Palestinian nation was always number one in protecting Human Rights and Free Speech and Democratic Values. The Western World should learn from them.

Fantastic, about time. there wouldn’t be concerns about climate change, food shortages if the real journalists had been allowed to do their jobs.
All the bull sh…could have been prevented if the public knew what was really going on instead of being fed a diet of candy floss.
happy to help any time
